What's stopping you from getting a projector? Dear CNET members,
Before I get started on this week's topic, I have a question to ask you folks: Do you consider CNET.com one of your favorite Web sites? If you do, get up and vote for us! CNET.com is a Webby Awards finalist in two categories, as the best Guides/Ratings/Reviews Web site and Online Film & Video: How-To & DIY, and I'm so excited! Every day, my coworkers put a lot of devotion, passion, and energy into our site to bring you all that CNET offers, and I'd like to give each one a pat on the back. But your voices -- those of our readers, users, and members -- are more important, and truly show my coworkers that their hard work has paid off. So if you have a spare moment, please vote for us. Your voice counts. Thank you, everyone! Now let's get started on this week's community hot topic.
This week's hot topic subject comes from CNET contributor Geoffrey Morrison, who is a huge fan of projectors, and prefers them over "regular" TVs for home use. In his blog entitled: "Poll: What's stopping you from getting a projector?," he wants to know why projectors still remain a tiny percentage of the video market when their prices have come down substantially. And he's curious what's really stopping folks like yourself from moving to projectors from traditional TVs. Is it because of the limited amount of space, picture quality, the cost of replacement bulbs every few years, the cost of separate components, or difficulty of installation? I assume you all have your reasons, or maybe even a projector has never crossed your mind -- or maybe you are already on the projector bandwagon. I want to help Geoff out with his questions, so read his blog, vote in the poll, and join the rest of your fellow members, and tell Geoff the reasons why you haven't gotten a projector to replace your TV! | | | |
