 | Alcatel One Touch Idol Though it has a large display and slim profile, the Alcatel One Tough Idol's low-end specs and lack of 4G speeds can't compete with the LG Nexus 4. | | Sony Xperia Tablet Z Despite being awash with features (like its waterproof capabilities, light design, and sharp screen), the Xperia Tablet Z's $500 price is a decidedly bitter pill to swallow when a better, cheaper alternative exists for $100 less. | | Cricket Engage LT (Cricket Wireless) Pass up the ZTE Engage LT's poor performance and relatively high price for other entry-level Cricket phones, like the HTC One SV. | | Jabra Motion If you can live with its massive size (due to its big boom mic design), the Jabra Motion's clear audio and loads of features are hard to resist. Just be warned of its high $129 price tag. | | Nokia Lumia 521 (T-Mobile) If LTE is not a major priority for you, then the Nokia Lumia 521 is one of the best affordable smartphones on any platform. Especially when considering its excellent 5-megapixel shooter. | | | | |
