Something new at iFixit!

Forward icon

Today marks iFixit's 10-year anniversary. And we want to celebrate with you. Our mission, to help everyone fix every thing, is a big idea—an idea we can't possibly realize alone. In the last decade, we have accomplished more than we ever thought possible. Literally millions (no, really—millions) of people have used our manuals to fix things. That’s pretty darn cool.

We've succeeded because of our awesome members, our dedicated moderators, and our friends all over the globe. So here’s to you. You have our sincerest thanks for your help in making iFixit a voice in the repair community.

The Look of Repair Freedom

Woah! Where did iFixit go?! Don't let the new colors and images fool you—we’re still iFixit. Just with a fresh design and some pizzazz. Repair is about freedom and iFixit is focused on making repair user-friendly. But one tool that’s already freely available and user-friendly is the Phillips screwdriver. It represents our values so well that we’re building our identity around it.

A Glimpse into Our Past

Over the last couple of years, repair culture has grown exponentially. It has become a global movement. And iFixit is excited to be a part of it. In our latest video, Gwendolyn gives a shout-out to all the iFixit members and friends who helped make the last 10 years possible.

Many Miles to Go

We’ve come a long way in the last 10 years. Our first attempt at web design was… aesthetically challenged. Our very first (paper-only) repair manuals were a little rough around the edges. But we persevered, and we iterated, and eventually we found a cohesive voice and look. Take a peek at some significant moments in iFixit’s history.
