iMac Modifications: New Repair Guides and More

• Guides •

I spy with my little eye a couple of little “i”s—iMacs, that is. We’re excited about our double dose of new repair guides for the late 2012 iMac 27” and iMac 21.5”. From cleaning out that dust bunny castle you call a fan to installing a new hard drive, we’ve got over 30 repair guides to get your iMac back on track.

• Tools •

Check out our new iMac Opening Tool: designed by iFixit to cut through adhesive in the hair-thin gap between the iMac’s display and aluminum frame. When you’re done modding out your computer, seal it back up again with a complete set of adhesive strips, specifically designed for the iMac 27” and iMac 21.5”. Buy them separately or as a kit! And if you just can’t get enough of awesome tools like these, check out our Heavy-duty Suction Cups—great for safely popping off LCD screens.

• Parts •

Double the pleasure, double the fun—double the storage. We’ve got some dual hard drive lovin’ for your slightly older iMacs. Grab one of our dual hard drive kits for the iMac 27” Mid 2010, the iMac 27” Mid 2011, or the iMac 21.5” Mid 2011. Each kit is equipped with what you need to upgrade, including two Heavy-duty Suction Cups, the 26 Bit Driver Kit, and a Spudger.
